Brilliant adornments, crafted especially for you.

Learn about our pieces and processes

  • We craft our jewelry using only high quality metals, with an emphasis on recycled sterling silver and 14 karat gold. These alloys are designed to hold up to everyday wear, combining brilliant shine, hardness, durability, and workability, as they can be manipulated through traditional hand-fabrication techniques.

  • We specialize in hand-fabrication, which involves manipulating precious metal sheets and wires, bending them into shape with pliers, and hammering with highly polished steel hammers for controlled distortion and texturing. We remove material using coarse files by hand, then join them by melting silver (or gold) solder with an acetylene torch.

  • Some of our new pieces are die-struck in our home studio, using designs originally carved by jewelers in places like London, New York, Rhode Island, Paris, and Munich, with some dating as far back as the late 1800s.

We use steel dies with designs pressed in, leaving a negative space—a void for our silver to fill. With a manually operated hydraulic press, we press sheets of silver (or gold) into these designs, forcing the metal into the shape of the steel void, picking up even minute details from the original carving.

This process helps us to give new life to the work done by jewelers a generation ago. These methods of reproduction allow us to achieve incredible detail much more easily, enabling us to create lines of jewelry at a lower price point, while still maintaining high quality standards by working in small batches.

  • Adopting modern methods of jewelry casting for some of our pieces enables us to reproduce our own original designs, allowing us to offer our meticulously hand-carved details at a more affordable price.

Currently, all of our cast reproductions are combined with hand-fabricated components, meaning that each piece reproduced is still unique, and is still given our full attention to detail, before and after being finished by hand.

Our pieces are cast locally in Tucson, Arizona, using recycled precious metals.
